About Me

I’m a nurse practitioner with 40 years in nursing—including 27 years working in oncology, bone marrow transplant, palliative care, and hospice. Over my career, I’ve learned to navigate life’s grey and messy areas with compassion and steady support. Today, I bring that same empathetic presence to coaching, welcoming everyone who is seeking guidance through life’s transitions—whether you’re facing loss, uncertainty, or simply looking to grow.

My journey has always been driven by a deep curiosity about what it means to be human—the intersection where the transcendent meets everyday life. Alongside my formal training at Virginia Commonwealth University (earning my bachelor’s, master’s in oncology nursing, and advanced nurse practitioner credentials), I embraced non-traditional education. I’m certified in Mind/Body Medicine through the Center for Mind Body Medicine, in End of Life Care through the Metta Institute, and as a Wayfinder Life Coach through the Martha Beck Institute. These experiences have helped me blend traditional and alternative healing methods, from acupuncture and herbal treatments to talk therapy and life coaching.

I’ve also walked my own path of healing through health challenges, which has deepened my understanding of both the benefits and limitations of standard treatments. My approach is informed not only by the amazing people I cared for over the years but also by teachers like Pema Chodron, Ram Dass, Maya Angelou, and many others who continue to inspire me. I’m passionate about all forms of art—whether it’s poetry, visual arts, music, or dance—because I believe that creative expression is at the heart of being human.

Now based in Charlottesville, Virginia, I live with my husband and our golden retriever. In June 2024, I retired from hospital work to fully embrace coaching—my own journey toward calm, clarity, and freedom—and to help others discover their unique path. My coaching practice is open to everyone, offering a blend of warmth, wisdom, and practical tools for personal growth and healing.

I invite you to join me in exploring a more compassionate, creative, and balanced way of living.
